The Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new suppliers to support Immensa’s on-demand manufacturing operations in the energy sector. This role will focus on developing a robust supplier network, ensuring adequate supplier coverage for current and future projects. The Sourcing Engineer will lead supplier engagement activities, including NDAs, commercial negotiations, and strategic partnerships, to align with Immensa’s technical and commercial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Identification & Onboarding
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential suppliers to expand Immensa’s supplier network for on-demand manufacturing.
- Lead supplier onboarding processes, including due diligence, capability assessments, and documentation reviews.
- Develop supplier pipelines to ensure adequate capacity and coverage for current and future project demands.
2. Supplier Engagement & Commercial Terms
- Initiate and coordinate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with potential suppliers.
- Lead discussions and negotiations on commercial terms, ensuring alignment with Immensa’s cost, delivery, and quality objectives.
- Support supplier relationship management to foster long-term strategic partnerships.
3. Supplier Network Development
- Map supplier capabilities and maintain an up-to-date supplier database categorized by technology, materials, and capacity.
- Identify gaps in supplier coverage and develop strategies to address them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, and Procurement) to align sourcing strategies with project requirements.
4. Risk Management
- Mitigate supply chain risks by ensuring diversified supplier base and alternative sourcing options.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to optimize supplier onboarding processes and reduce time-to-qualification.
- Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Promote a collaborative and innovative approach across the supplier network to support Immensa’s vision for digital transformation in the energy sector.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
Experience:
- 3–5 years in supplier sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Experience with additive manufacturing suppliers is highly desirable.
Certifications & Skills:
- CIPS, CPM is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and materials used in machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.S
- Strong knowledge of supplier sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with commercial contract terms, NDAs, and supplier agreements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in supplier mapping tools and Microsoft Excel advanced functions.
- Experience with data analytics and supplier management tools (e.g., Power BI) is a strong plus.
