Role & Responsibilities

The Solutions Engineer Leader role at Zoom is an exciting and rewarding position. We are looking for a dynamic leader with deep Unified Collaboration and UCaaS experience who can lead, build and scale the MEA SE team.

This Leadership role will be tasked with leading the Delivering Happiness culture here at Zoom, both to our customers and your team. This leader will be responsible for identifying and hiring the best SE team in MEA. Leave your ego at the door, we are looking for a leader who wants to make everyone around them better. They must foster a culture of trust, teamwork and continued improvement both personally and professionally.

They will also be responsible for serving as the business partner as well as contributing to budget process, strategic planning, headcount growth, coverage models and business strategy.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have a background in telephony, video and applications sales, knowledge of Zoom communication platform (Chat, Meetings, Video, Phone, Marketplace/API) and/or competitive equivalent. In depth knowledge of Microsoft and application-based competition is preferred. (Microsoft, Amazon, RingCentral, 8x8, Cisco, etc)

As a Solution Engineering Leader, you will:

  1. Oversee and lead SEs in the MEA region
  2. Attract, coach, mentor and develop highly technical and driven Solution Engineers
  3. Contribute to the Zoom technical strategy for the MEA Region
  4. Build, execute and measure MEA Region SE business plan with sales partners
  5. Handle technical and customer escalations from the team
  6. Define and implement technical demand generation and events
  7. Work cross functionally to deliver results
  8. Drive the Zoom Vision

There will be travel required across MEA (once the situation allows again). We will greatly promote the use of the amazing Zoom tools we have to maximize all the resources at Zoom.

Skills Required

  1. Lead by example and influence, always from the front
  2. Work effectively across multiple leaders and departments
  3. Strong business acumen and executive presence
  4. SaaS Collaboration sales experience i.e., web conferencing, cloud voice, UCaaS
  5. In-depth knowledge of 'traditional' voice communications systems and applications
  6. Ability to present topics in a clear and concise manner to many levels of technical skill sets and audience sizes

Desired Skills

  1. End-to-end IT systems knowledge
  2. Ability to discuss Business Objectives, Business Outcomes, TCO and ROI with customers
  3. Formulate and communicate a technical solution / vision
  4. Minimum 10 years experience in the Unified Collaborations industry
  5. Minimum 5-7 years leading a previous technical pre-sales organization
  6. Understand Zoom partner and ecosystem partners, products and applications
  7. Be flexible and able to function in a high growth environment
  8. Thorough competitive knowledge (in their area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings.
  9. Zoom Communication platform and end-to-end positioning required
