Solution Engineer

Overview:

This position is focused on business automation solution design, and implementation of industrial automation and IoT solutions across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The ideal candidate will bridge customer requirements and technical solutions, working closely with sales, technical, and project management teams to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Analysis: Communicate with customers to analyze requirements related to control systems and IoT (Internet of Things), and prepare requirement analysis documents.
2. Solution Design: Develop system architecture, technology selection, and security measures, and provide tailored technical solutions that meet customer needs.
3. Project Implementation & Management: Collaborate with project management and technical teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions, providing technical guidance and training.
4. Customer Engagement & Solution Presentation: Clearly and effectively demonstrate and present solutions to customers, addressing technical inquiries and driving project adoption. Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during the pre-sales phase, participating in technical discussions, proposals, and business negotiations.
5. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams, optimizing control system and IoT platform integration solutions.
6. Documentation: Prepare technical solution documents, system architecture designs, operation manuals, and training materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
7. Industry Standards & Best Practices: Familiarity with ISA-95 standards, understanding industrial automation and smart manufacturing integration architectures. Passionate about digital transformation and pre-sales activities in smart factory projects, with a willingness to continuously learn and explore the field. Experience in IoT or Industrial IoT (IIoT) projects, with a strong understanding of smart manufacturing system deployment and applications.
8. HCIS Standards: Knowledge of HCIS standards or prior experience in HCIS-related projects is preferred.
9. Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel across the MEA region to meet project and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Automation, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in control systems, IoT, or industrial automation, with a preference for candidates familiar with the MEA market or with relevant project experience in the region.
3. Control Systems: Proficient in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and other industrial automation systems.
4. Hands-on experience in IoT or IIoT projects, with an understanding of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies.
5. Familiar with ISA-95 standards and industrial automation architectures.
6. Strong ability to clearly present and explain technical solutions to customers, with excellent business communication skills.
7. Capable of preparing technical solution documents, system design specifications, and project reports for both internal and customer-facing use.
8. Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic or French is a plus (preferred for MEA market).
9. Willing to travel frequently across the MEA region based on business needs.
