About the Role

We are seeking a Solution Architect – Government Systems to design, integrate, and optimize end-to-end digital services and platforms for public sector clients.

You will work directly with stakeholders from ministries and government agencies, leading solution design that ensures interoperability, compliance, and citizen-centric outcomes. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business needs, technology frameworks, and government mandates.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and document end-to-end solutions for government systems, ensuring alignment with NORA 2.0 and GSB (Government Service Bus) requirements.
  • Lead solution assessments, feasibility studies, and architecture blueprints for new and existing systems.
  • Ensure interoperability and integration between ministries, national platforms, and shared services.
  • Work closely with business, data, and security architects to ensure holistic and compliant solutions.
  • Provide guidance on cloud adoption, application modernization, and digital platforms.
  • Participate in workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solution designs, and gain buy-in.
  • Define non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security).
  • Support RFPs, technical evaluations, and vendor solution assessments.
  • Mentor junior consultants and share solution architecture best practices within FMB.
Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong background in solution design, system integration, and enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of government service frameworks (NORA 2.0, GSB, SDAIA guidelines, NCA controls).
  • Familiarity with SOA, APIs, microservices, and cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with EA tools (Sparx EA, Alfabet, iServer) is preferable.
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex architectures into clear solution roadmaps.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–8 years of experience in Solution Architecture, System Integration, or IT Consulting.
  • At least one year working on Saudi public sector or e-government projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certifications in TOGAF, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), ITIL, or PMP are a strong plus.
