Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Softscape Estimation Engineer to join the Commercial / Estimation team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for softscape works, including planting, horticulture, and soil-related activities, while supporting tender submissions and commercial decision-making.

The position plays a key role in project planning, budgeting, and successful tender execution within the landscape and agriculture industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender documents, scope of work, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Conduct bid/no-bid analysis to assess project feasibility, resources, timelines, and profitability.
• Prepare detailed softscape cost estimates covering materials, plants, labor, equipment, and indirect costs.
• Ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, sales, and internal teams for technical and BOQ clarifications.
• Participate in techno-commercial discussions during the tender stage when required.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for quotations of plants, materials, and non-standard components.
• Track tender status, hit rate, and offer validity in coordination with the Tendering or Sales Manager.
• Support improvements in costing structures and increase local value through coordination with engineering and production teams.
• Continuously review tender outcomes to identify lessons learned and improve future submissions.
