Established in 1945 Abdul Latif Jameel has dual headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, UAE, and currently has operations in 30 countries employing approximately 11,000 people from more than 40nationalities.

The term Abdul Latif Jameel refers broadly to several distinct, separate and independent legal entities. It is not itself a corporate entity, association or conglomerate run by an overarching parent company but merely refers to a group of distinct and wholly separate legal entities that are collectively referred to as Abdul Latif Jameel.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that always-on presence to improve Brand TOM (Top of mind) recall
  • Continue with the focus on a female audience, including "Women" as an integral part of our mainstream communication
  • Strengthen connection with the "Youth" and engagement with the brand through communication activities
  • Manage fan community management strategy to support fighting fake news
  • Execute corporate social responsibility communication strategy focusing on relevant areas of Sustainable Development Goals / Environmental, Social and Governance SDGs/ESGs
  • Defining and controlling advertising standards, applicable to all communications. Apply consistent brand behaviors’ and values to all materials within the remit of the role – across advertising, showroom and support materials and behaviors and themes through events remit.
  • Manage the workflow of briefs, allocating to appropriate campaign manager based on workload and experience levels.
  • Setting of and monitoring of agency SLA’s and performance measurement via setting of KPI’s and monitoring progress in tandem with GM of Strategic Planning.
  • Managing key agency relationships. Ensuring strategic alignment across projects at agency level.
  • Co-ordination of ALJ advertising projects across divisions. Ensure as much consistency and co-ordination of major projects as possible (e.g. not competing for same media, or coordinating launch activities).
  • Ensure close relationships with the vertical teams ensuring that the communications development process is inclusive and consensus is achieved at the appropriate point in the development process.
  • Management of creative development and media buying process, ensuring efficient spend and allocation of resources in line with agreed briefs and annual calendar planning.
  • Administer and manage the Media Audit process, highlighting operational efficiency gains that are realisable to save TMO media spend.
  • Development of cross-car line and brand campaigns to support the overall ALJ Toyota brand in the market place. Develop efficient communication campaigns in response to agreed strategy and briefings.

Job Qualifications:

  • Marketing and advertising experience, ideally in the automotive industry. Must have experience of agency management and media buying expertise. Event management experiences an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commercial subject (e.g. Marketing/Business)
  • 8 to10 years of practical experience; Man management and agency management experience essential.
  • Ability to be attuned to the demands and desires of customers and the Business Units.
  • Ability to set up best practice advertising creation and media buying processes.
  • A focus and ability to analyse the result of advertising and branding work. Focus on the results and learning.
  • Excellent computer skills, with a working knowledge of windows applications.
  • Proficiency of English and Arabic languages.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills.
  • Good communication and personnel management skills. Ability to present and persuade on subjective matters
