ECOCOAST Saudi Arabia is seeking a dedicated Site Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The role involves performing general site tasks, including the assembly and installation of marine products, cleaning marine products and Aids to Navigation (ATONs), and other maintenance duties, under the direction of the Site Supervisor. The successful candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in marine or construction site work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to travel to project sites across Saudi Arabia as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly and installation of marine products, such as navigation buoys, coastal protection systems, and other marine infrastructure, as directed by the Site Supervisor.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of marine products and Aids to Navigation (ATONs) to ensure functionality and longevity.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of marine equipment and components.
  • Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment for site operations.
  • Support site setup and logistics, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Adhere to company QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and marine safety standards during all site activities.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or site issues to the Site Supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and site tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with other site technicians, divers, and team members to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Travel to project sites across Saudi Arabia as required to support installation and maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in marine, mechanical, or construction fields is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marine, construction, or related site work, preferably involving marine product installation or maintenance.

  • Familiarity with marine environments and equipment, including navigation buoys and ATONs.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, assembling, and cleaning equipment, in outdoor and marine conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of marine safety standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively under the Site Supervisor’s guidance.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across Saudi Arabia as required.
  • Ability to SWIM & eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with marine cleaning techniques or maintenance of ATONs.
  • Familiarity with IALA (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities) guidelines.
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools and marine equipment used in installations and maintenance.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is a plus.
