Site Manager (Architect) - Riyadh, KSA (MNC)

Our client an European multinational Engineering & Construction consultancy (PMC) working on projects across Saudi Arabiais looking to hire a Site manager Architect, based in Riyadh, KSA.

Salary – SAR 15,000 – SAR 18,000

Reporting: Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Liaises with stakeholders and operators, leads various disciplines for coordination; maintains project communications by managing accurate and timely information transmission,
  • Ensures that the main contractor and nominated contractor(s) coordinate with all concerned authorities’ departments and ensure that statuary requirements are adequately and satisfactorily incorporated, NOC’s / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction,
  • Provides technical inputs and experience proactively to identify and resolve design and engineering related subjects, implements preventive and corrective actions to minimize costs, maximize efficiency,
  • Conducts technical evaluation reviews for material samples to ensure that the new facilities are built to operate reliably, and their asset health and performance can be managed efficiently and cost-effectively,
  • Monitors site activities by conducting daily site visits and managing inspection teams; maintains conformity of site installations to design intends, contracts, QA/QC procedures, and regulations,
  • Convenes and chairs technical, commercial, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings and brings updates and critical issues forward that may impact stakeholders and progress,
  • Reviews, coordinates and forwards submittals, inspection requests, technical queries to the project team and/or discipline engineers,
  • Selects and approves finishes, colours, benchmark mock-ups, and model rooms in line with projects specifications, mood boards and client requirements,
  • Assess client needs and requirements, builds and manages cordial relationships with the clients and stakeholders,
  • Improves quality and eliminates extra costs by identifying, coordinating, and implementing value engineering opportunities,
  • Organizes close-out procedures related to the discipline,
  • Supports and mentors the junior team members in their development and contribution to the organization

Qualifications required

  • Arch. or B.Sc. in architecture, with minimum of 12-15 years post graduate experience,
  • Minimum of 5 years site supervision experience in the delivery of complex high-profile projects within an international design consultancy,
  • Wide experience in Local / International Building Codes and regulations, British / American Standards (ASTM, BS, EN, etc.), Sustainable Design Principles (Esti Dama, Green Building, LEED),
  • Good working knowledge of materials, suppliers, and construction practices in KSA,
  • Excellent problem solving and time management capability,
  • Ability to make critical decisions (In coordination with Resident Engineer /Relevant disciplines),
  • Ability to manage and coordinate team members, various disciplines involved in the design, authorities, and stakeholders,
  • Commercial awareness and contractual knowledge with and extend of the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.

  • Understands the concept of multi-disciplinary (Architecture, Structural, Infrastructure, MEP etc).
  • Society of Engineers/Architectural membership, International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent), Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent), Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA, PMI or equivalent) are preferable.
