Job Description

Turner Lovell is hiring an experienced Site HSE Advisor to support the delivery of major high-voltage substation construction projects in Saudi Arabia. Our client is a global engineering, manufacturing and construction firm who specialise in providing engineering services to the power generation and electricity transmission sectors. In this role you will play a vital role in setting up and supervising HSE standards on active construction sites and ensuring a safety is a priority for all contractors and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Site HSE Plan and collaborate with the site leadership team to ensure it is aligned with project needs.
  • Support the initial setup of HSE systems during project mobilisation and supervise all ongoing HSE activities on site.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive HSE induction programme for all levels of site personnel, ensuring awareness of legal obligations and responsibilities Provide regular toolbox talks, site inspections, and performance reporting to site management and project stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of zero harm and continuous safety awareness across the site teams.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Manage and implement workplace health, safety, and environmental training programmes tailored to project risks.
  • Lead and maintain a structured HSE audit and inspection programme, making practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, maintain HSE records, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or similar)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a site-based HSE role
  • Strong working knowledge of safety practices in construction or energy projects, ideally including high-voltage substations
  • Experience delivering HSE training and conducting audits and investigations
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Arabic
  • KSA nationals are strongly encouraged to apply
