Role Purpose

Responsible for the on-site execution of solar rooftop projects, ensuring that installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The job holder will manage the day-to-day operations on site, including coordination with contractors, supervising construction activities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

Site Management:
• Oversee the daily operations on the construction site.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, and timelines.

Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that construction work meets the required quality standards.
• Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the construction process.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections and any corrective actions taken.

Health and Safety:
• Ensure that all site activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for site personnel.
• Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures.

Technical Support:
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.
• Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications on site.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.

Materials Management:
• Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials on site.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials are available when needed.
• Verify the quality and quantity of materials delivered to the site.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Document any changes or deviations from the original project plan.

Stakeholder Communication:
• Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and any issues encountered.
• Address any concerns or queries raised by stakeholders promptly and professionally.

Education & Certifications

Engineering/Management Degree or higher
