Job description

Job Title: Site Engineer

Company: Dar Wa Emaar Real Estate Investment and Development Co.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise construction workers.
2. Understand project timelines and priorities from Project Engineer and Project Manager.
3. Prepare drawings from technical designs of the project site layout.
4. Manage sub-contractor’s allocation to construction jobs.
5. Instruct construction workers and foremen for construction in conformance with the prepared drawings.
6. Supervise their work and ensure timeliness, quality, and safety of construction.
7. Approve overtime and other requests from foremen.
8. Conduct regular quality surveys of the site.

Material Management

1. Monitor material quality for every delivery and raise concerns to Project Engineer in case of any discrepancy.
2. Monitor and manage material quantities as per construction plan. Raise requests for materials on SAP ERP system.
3. Coordinate with procurement team for material delivery.
4. Arrange logistics at site such as water, electricity, power, cranes, etc.
5. Provide inputs to Project Manager regarding cost and materials of the project for budget reviews.

Stakeholder Management

1. Coordinate between contractors and consultants for quality assurance.
2. Request Contracts team for contract preparation for sub-contractors and coordinate with them for review.
3. Review the bills received from contractors and forward to Accounts team.
4. Escalate material or construction progress related issues to Project Engineer.

Reporting

1. Support Project Engineer to prepare status reports and ad hoc technical reports.

Team Management

1. Provide clear roles and responsibilities to foremen.
2. Address all HR related concerns of foremen.
3. Monitor and manage health & safety compliance and incidents.

Skills
