Job description

Job Title: Site Electrical Manager

Location: Eastern Province, KSA

Role Overview:

Electrical Manager to oversee the installation of a 380 KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). He/She shall have extensive experience in high-voltage substation projects, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

What will you do?
  • Site Management: Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the substation site during installation and commissioning.
  • Technical Oversight: Supervise the installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry/client standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the quality and reliability of installations. Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict Linxon and client safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment. Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with design engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of installation activities, test results, and project progress. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Training and Supervision: Provide guidance and training to installation teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning process, including testing and validation of all systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet performance criteria.
Experience and Education Required:
  • 10 years of experience in EHV 380 KV GIS Substations projects, including civil construction.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Project Management Certification or PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with major clients in KSA such as SEC, ARAMCO, and Royal Commission.
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, multimillion-SAR projects.
  • C1 or C2 permit holder is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, substation components, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with project management and planning software and tools.
  • This position requires working on-site at the substation location, with occasional travel to project meetings and stakeholder consultations.
  • The role involves exposure to high-voltage equipment and requires strict adherence to safety protocols.
