Job Description
WSP is seeking a Site Architect for a high-profile project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all architectural project aspects on time.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project and supervise teams to deliver high-quality architectural projects aligned with the Project Life Cycle and client requirements, coordinating with local and international building codes such as IBC, NBC, NFPA, FLS, Civil Defense, BS-EN, SBC, etc.
- Oversee overall project management internally and liaise with the client project team regarding all site architectural matters.
- Regularly review the quality of work with the project team to ensure it meets project standards.
- Ensure architectural project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality requirements.
- Review architectural designs, shop drawings, materials, method statements, and samples to ensure adherence to the concept and IFC drawings during construction.
- Coordinate with clients and approval authorities on samples and submissions before issuing approvals to contractors.
- Maintain and update standard architectural specifications.
- Implement employer requirements.
- Participate in design reviews following the QMS system.
- Coordinate with the Design Architect on related architectural packages and site queries.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Architect with over 12 years of postgraduate experience, including at least 8 years in a supervision role within KSA or the GCC, preferably with a reputable architectural consultancy or contracting firm.
- Experience as a site-based architect, with detailed knowledge of post-contract supervision, review of shop drawings, submittals, and site inspections, coordinating with clients and PMC.
- Knowledge of local authority regulations, IBC & NBC codes, and compliance with FLS and Civil Defense standards.
- Experience reviewing architectural shop drawings, materials submissions, method statements, and samples to ensure adherence to designs throughout construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM.
- Experience working on commercial, residential high-rise, or tall tower projects.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to foster client relationships and coordinate across disciplines.
