Your Responsibilities:
  • Advance Level knowledge of Siemens Variable Frequency Drive products and applications.
  • Provide advanced technical support for Siemens VFD systems with a focus on crane applications, ensuring seamless engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver tailored solutions that address unique customer requirements in industries such as cranes, water, oil & gas, and petrochemicals.
  • Act as the on-site technical representative for Siemens, attending commissioning meetings and leading the end-to-end commissioning process.
  • Manage commissioning teams, ensuring adherence to performance metrics, including safety, schedules, quality standards, and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate and verify commissioning results, updating site-specific documentation and closing out any open points.
  • Collaborate with service operations teams to resolve system service requests, incidents, and escalations within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Independently handle complex technical issues and mentor less experienced engineers as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities and prepare comprehensive reports for management and clients.
  • Stay current on Siemens VFD products and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to identify and implement opportunities for system optimization and enhancements.
  • Assess and manage on-site risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, quality benchmarks, and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols in VFD system activities.
Your Qualifications And Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Siemens Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems, specifically in crane applications such as RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry), STS (Ship-to-Shore), and EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) cranes.
  • Exposure to the water, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Siemens VFD systems, covering engineering, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Certification in Siemens Sinamics VFD systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in commissioning processes and creating detailed quality service reports and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing commissioning teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
  • Ability to lead by example, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and time-management skills to work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
