Job Description
Main Tasks:
- Supports the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) RSADF (Royal Saudi Air-Defense) Officer-in-Charge by:
- Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
- Monitoring and analyzing factors affecting operational availability, Shikra system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally and with the team in France.
- Evaluating performance of Shikra systems, data handling, and communication equipment.
- Monitoring Built-In Test equipment/software, analyzing results, and recommending improvements.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) as required.
- Performing diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of radar and C2 systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Diagnosing and isolating complex electronic problems between hardware, software, and LRUs using diagnostics, self-checks, BITE, and test equipment.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and traveling to remote sites for software maintenance, troubleshooting, and OJT.
- Ensuring Shikra system readiness by communicating with Contractor Experts in Europe for solutions and malfunctions that cannot be remedied alone.
Required Skills
A. Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Radar Technology.
- Specialized training and certification in Radars and/or C2.
- Qualified and specialized in GM200 Radar and CONTROL View SHIKRA equipment, including hardware and software (training certificate to be provided post-hiring).
- Proficiency in English; French and Arabic are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
B. Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in operational and maintenance of PSR/SSR Radars, C2, and communication equipment, including installation, testing, integration, upgrades, and modifications.
- Experience with Radar, Primary/Secondary systems, plot extractors, and interface equipment.
- Technical knowledge of antennas, processors, computers, data transmission, power systems, etc.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-cultural, multidisciplinary environment with contractor support services.
