Position requires a skilled structural mechanic with the ability to perform Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI), organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance on H-60 helicopters. This includes troubleshooting, testing, inspections, and repairs of hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, tires, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressurized systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related systems.
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and implementing corrective actions on hydraulic components and related systems.
- Maintaining all maintenance documentation, forms, records, and reports using appropriate references, including the NAMP.
- Operating and maintaining all applicable ground support equipment and tools for power plant maintenance and repair.
- Providing on-the-job training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and personnel, maintaining training records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of current or previous experience in complex helicopter mechanical work, including inspection, assembly/disassembly, repair, troubleshooting, and testing hydraulic components, airframes, landing gear, and rotor head systems.
- Ability to install, adjust, align, and perform final tests on major aircraft systems and components such as hydraulic servos, pumps, rotor blades, and flight control systems.
- Disassemble and reassemble components, determine repairs, and complete checkout procedures.
- Visual inspection skills for corrosion, wear, and adjustments.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, tools, scales, and test stands.
- Knowledge of the operation, installation, and adjustment of aircraft systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to inspect aircraft mounts, shocks, and struts for damage and leaks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Must pass a background check and drug test; may require a secret clearance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform essential duties, including walking, standing, climbing, and working on various surfaces.
- May need to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to distinguish colors and judge three-dimensional depth.
