Job description

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst is a position responsible for efficient processing of orders and transactions received from clients, collaborating closely with the regional Operations - Transaction Services team. This role focuses on ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring performance and quality standards are met for all assigned tasks.
  • Monitor productivity and completing Daily operational activities smoothly
  • Address and resolve escalated client and internal issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory closure.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and service enhancements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular data analysis to detect control deficiencies and implement corrective procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Train and develop new procedures, technologies, and market regulations.
  • Provide support to the department manager and act as a backup when required.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Promote a strong ethical culture within the team.

Qualifications :

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, specifically within banking and / or custody operations.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, including securities and derivatives products and their lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose solutions to operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to assess risk and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
