Job Description

The Service Engineer role is held to a high standard of service. Engineers are required to service all ICEE and IBS equipment such as Frozen Carbonated and Non-Carbonated dispensers, fountain beverage equipment, and other machines at customer sites or at the IBS workshop.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a professional attitude in challenging situations.
  2. Work with minimal supervision and attend weekly meetings held in the Service Center.
  3. Utilize provided resources including a vehicle, uniforms, tools, cell phone, and gas card.
  4. Respond promptly to dispatched service calls and ensure timely arrival based on ETA.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair service problems. Ensure quality checks such as syrup levels, flavor changes, and cleaning around machines.
  6. Maintain inventory and perform maintenance on equipment, parts, tools, and vehicle.
  7. Review service orders and completed work with the FSM or supervisor. Keep managers informed of customer concerns, needs, and upselling opportunities.
  8. Document all work performed and close out activities upon completion.
  9. Ensure POS material is current and well-maintained.
  10. In some locations, be responsible for machine movement and other duties as assigned.
