This position reports to
Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Leading front-end sales activities of VSDS with customers seeking high-power MV drive systems, in close collaboration with tendering back-end.
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships through account planning; engage continuously with various customer types to understand their needs, promote ABB’s VSDS solutions, and align its positioning in sales pursuits.
Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process by proactively developing leads and maintaining focus to achieve success.
Responsible for OR volume and profitability targets for the assigned Product Group, as well as opportunity pipeline development.
Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plans if there are potential order shortfalls.
Create added value for the customer and ABB, ensuring successful outcomes by employing effective sales techniques in long-cycle project sales.
Coordinate marketing activities and communicate the value proposition of VSDS offerings to customers.
Identify and develop new market opportunities within designated growth initiatives and mandates.
Finalize offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the respective Sales Manager, adhering to corporate guidelines.
Ensure all technical and financial aspects of offers are properly addressed, including pricing and commercial terms.
Negotiate delivery times, payments, and general terms with customers, aligning with ABB’s offerings and strategy.
Qualifications for the Role- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of industry experience, preferably in sales and technical support
- Essential & Preferred requirements:
- Knowledge of motors and VFD systems
- Industry sales experience in Saudi Arabia
- Sales skills in project and solution offerings, cross-country collaboration, and effective virtual team communication
- Knowledge of E-house, transformers, switchgear, and cooling systems
- Experience with mechanical driver replacements such as turbines and decarbonization solutions
- Process knowledge for heavy industries
- Familiarity with SFDC
- Fluent in Arabic and English
