Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day

On a typical day, you start with a review of the latest Gas Turbine Blades and Vanes Design and Manufacturing updates. Collaborate with your partner to build plans using supply and operational capabilities. Research technical requirements to develop necessary instructions for logistics. You spend part of your day with unit-specific clarifications and collecting data on the implementation progress and efficiency of existing solutions. To round up your day, you generate ideas with your peers on the operational potential of the components you are responsible for and submit those to the product manager. Additionally, you present and discuss technical issues and solutions during meetings and provide on-site support at power plants when needed.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Monitor the operation of our Gas Turbine Blades & Vanes with a focus on technical issues and respective mitigation measures.
  • Analyse together with our partner organization the applicability of solutions and the implementation plan of new and refurbished Blades & Vanes into individual Gas Turbines and cross the fleet.
  • Create technical instruction (Basic Solution and Engineering Requests), communication and the implementation and its effects.
  • Support the preparation and the execution of maintenance outages as part of multi-functional global teams. This includes scope definition, spare parts and tooling requirements.
  • Present and discuss technical solutions during internal and external meetings. Participate in projects to investigate technical issues and generate fixes and solutions.
  • Maintain a database that reflects components technical capabilities versus operational parameters.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Material Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical projects related to gas turbines.
  • In-depth knowledge of gas turbines, including blades and vanes characteristics, materials, and coatings.
  • Proficient in software applications and databases, with strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Solution-driven team player with knowledge of metallic materials and mechanical integrity, capable of structuring and analyzing information.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to lead expert teams and build networks in a global team environment.
