We are seeking a knowledgeable and expert Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in relay protection, high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) switchgears, and electrical substations. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Perform regular maintenance, fixing, and repair of relay protection systems, HV and MV switchgears, and electrical substations to ensure efficient performance and safety compliance.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of relay protection devices and switchgear systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve faults in electrical systems, including relay settings, circuit configurations, and switchgear operations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, test results, and equipment performance. Generate reports for management and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding relay protection and switchgear operations. Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety within the team and during field operations.
What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in service and maintenance of relay protection systems, HV and MV switchgears, and electrical substations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, relay protection principles, and switchgear operation. Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical partners.
  • Relevant certifications in electrical safety, relay protection, or switchgear maintenance are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed, including overnight stays.
