Job summary

Skatch inc. is seeking an experienced UX Designer to lead strategy, IA, and end-to-end journey design in a banking/regulated context.

You will translate research into clear decisions, craft FC specs, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver compliant, accessible experiences. You will design with Arabic RTL alongside English, leverage advanced Figma and enterprise design systems, and mentor junior designers while contributing to knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of UX design experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Strong IA, interaction design, user flows, wireframes and prototyping skills.
• Advanced Figma skills and experience with enterprise design systems.
• Ability to translate research and behavioural data into design decisions.
• Experience creating developer-ready functional specifications.
• Understanding WCAG 2.2 AA and accessible digital experiences.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Arabic/RTL design experience is an advantage.
• Banking/fintech or GCC/KSA regulated-industry experience valued.

Responsibilities

Job description

YOU WILL

• Define UX strategy, information architecture, task flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Design complete journeys covering key states, edge cases, errors, exceptions, and recovery paths.
• Translate research, analytics, and business requirements into clear design decisions.
• Develop UX microcopy, including labels, instructions, errors, confirmations, and notifications.
• Produce functional specifications covering behaviour, business rules, validation, and dependencies.
• Map relevant systems, integrations, hand-offs, and supporting processes.
• Design with Arabic RTL requirements alongside English LTR experiences.
• Apply existing enterprise design-system patterns and identify gaps where new solutions are required.
• Conduct workshops with business, technology, architecture, customer experience, and compliance stakeholders.
• Support benchmarking, expert reviews, analytics analysis, and usability activities.
• Collaborate with visual designers and engineering teams through handover and implementation.
• Review implemented journeys against approved designs and specifications.
• Maintain design documentation and decision records.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to knowledge transfer.

Requirements TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

• 6 years of UX design experience, including 3+ years in enterprise, financial services, or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in information architecture, interaction design, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Advanced Figma skills and experience working with enterprise design systems.
• Proven ability to translate research and behavioural data into design decisions.
• Experience creating developer-ready functional specifications.
• Good understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA and accessible digital experiences.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Arabic/RTL design experience is an advantage.
• Experience with banking platforms such as Backbase, Temenos, or Finastra is an advantage.
• Banking, fintech, GCC/KSA, or other regulated-industry experience is highly valued.
• Degree or diploma in Design, HCI, or a related field is preferred.
