Job description

A rewarding leadership role, coordinating, planning and delivering technical training activities.

As the Senior Technical Training Officer, you will work with the Operational Capability and Training team and senior district operational staff to coordinate, plan and deliver technical training to regional and district staff. Leading dedicated field-based technical training staff, the Senior Technical Training Officer will ensure the delivery of high quality, technical training programs in line with regional and statewide strategies, with a particular focus on building field staff capability.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • TAE40122 Cert IV Training and Assessment (or equivalent), or evidence of progress towards qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of training, assessment, and workforce capability programs (desirable).
  • Currency in a range of relevant operational roles and technical skill accreditations is desirable.
  • Experience operating within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) environment and a demonstrated working knowledge of RTO policies and procedures (desirable).

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within the Gippsland Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
