The Business Development Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all activities, processes, and operations within the Business Development function, including R&D activities. The role also involves providing support and assistance to contracting functions as needed.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify new projects, including exploring new geographies, ensuring alignment with risk management and diversification strategies.
- Review detailed proposals for new projects to facilitate approval by executive management.
- Identify and establish relationships with new clients for potential business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Review and recommend bid methodologies and schedules, and prepare bid packages.
- Source leads of retailers potentially attractive to fine dine consumers.
- Construct, pitch, and negotiate deals that meet the expectations of retailers, customers, and company standards.
- Partner with Development Account Managers to develop, communicate, and implement service strategies.
- Review tender documentation related to pricing, including instructions, conditions, measurements, and specifications.
- Support estimating and bidding functions in proposal preparation, development, and submission.
- Oversee market research, analysis, and assessment to support business development and departmental research needs.
- Provide input and analysis to ensure service competitiveness in specific markets and segments.
- Contribute to defining and improving company services through market analysis and surveys.
- Review financial feasibility of contracting projects and provide feedback.
- Liaise with corporate Business Development on latest techniques, equipment, and technology.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of improved techniques and methodologies in the construction industry.
- Monitor new technical and environmental regulations and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of solid experience in business development within the contracting industry
- Experience in the construction industry and related fields in Saudi Arabia and the region
