Overview
The Senior Supervisor – Infrastructure Management is responsible for supervising day-to-day facility, maintenance activities and supporting the execution of infrastructure projects within the terminal. The role ensures operational continuity of assets, compliance with safety standards, and timely delivery of maintenance and project tasks. The Senior Supervisor acts as the link between the operations team and the Manager – Infrastructure Management, ensuring smooth coordination, vendor oversight, and adherence to established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance and repair of terminal yard, quay side, examination areas, cold inspection facilities, and associated assets.
- Implement ISO 41001-compliant asset management systems for terminal structures (berths, yards, buildings)
- Lead resilience planning for coastal infrastructure
- Monitor the performance of maintenance activities and escalate major issues to the Manager.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are followed.
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of infrastructure projects, including renovations, upgrades, and small-scale constructions.
- Ensure contractors and vendors follow project timelines, quality requirements, and safety standards.
- Provide progress updates and flag potential risks or delays to the Manager.
- Support in monitoring service providers’ performance (PM services, IFM contracts, temporary resources, etc.).
- Verify vendor work quality, raise issues, and report gaps to the Manager.
- Coordinate with vendors for day-to-day requirements within approved contracts.
- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in line with HSE standards and international marine safety requirements.
- Monitor compliance with terminal regulations, escalating any non-compliance to the Manager.
- Allocate and monitor resources for maintenance and project tasks in alignment with operational plans.
- Support in coordinating with planning and business intelligence teams to track resources.
- Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and manpower for task execution.
- Implement and support emergency response procedures for facility-related incidents.
- Ensure readiness of resources and escalate critical issues to the Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, vendor performance, and project progress.
- Develop LEAN workflows reducing equipment downtime
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering), Facilities Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/facility maintenance.
- Saudi Council of Engineers registration
- Knowledge of project execution, maintenance systems, and HSE regulations.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Technical knowledge of infrastructure systems and maintenance practices.
- Preferred: PMP/CMMP/CFM certification
