Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Act as the first line of support for all Database Admins.
2. Establish standards to ensure application design and code integrity, security, and performance. Perform regular reviews to ensure adherence to site standards.
3. Provide technical support to application development teams. Serve as the primary contact for vendors.
4. Coordinate with the DB Technical Team Leader to ensure proper installation of operating systems and servers, preparation of the customer environment, and communication for database and development tool setup.
5. Collaborate with Project Managers to understand installation and setup requirements according to client contracts and project timelines.
6. Assist Database Administrators with technical installations, database setups, and installation of development tools as needed.
7. Manage database tuning, maintenance, and upgrades both at the client site and internally.
8. Resolve customer site issues during warranty or maintenance periods, and prepare reports on problem status for the Database Technical Manager.
9. Develop plans aligned with future departmental goals.
10. Monitor team performance and prepare consolidated reports.
11. Participate in performance evaluations of DBAs.
12. Provide technical training to new staff and assess their capabilities.
