The project spans 334 square kilometers and includes the world's largest Six Flags theme park, the Middle East's largest water park, and state-of-the-art sporting facilities.
About the Opportunity
Depth of experience:
In-depth knowledge of special effects (SFX) and specialist systems for themed environments, including integration with digital technologies and sustainable practices. Must have experience in operating special effects for theme parks to provide immersive and comprehensive guest experience. Should be familiar with special effects for park attractions, show control systems, and the integration of effects with attractions and media-based attractions.
Role summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, and implementation of special effects and specialist systems for theme park areas, ensuring immersive and cohesive guest experiences. As a client-side technical specialist, you will manage design packages, collaborating with consultants and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
This position requires a leader with deep technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and an understanding of the use of cutting-edge technologies to drive guest engagement and satisfaction in theme park environments.
Manage and oversee the SFX and specialist systems design concepts for all themed areas, facilities, retail spaces, dining venues, and guest service areas, ensuring alignment with the overall creative vision. Review and approve design packages, technical drawings, and materials submitted by consultants and contractors. Act as the client-side point of contact for SFX and specialist systems design for Lead Design consultants, creative designer, and contractors. Collaborate with Lead Design consultants, creative designer, landscape designers, ride engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of SFX and specialist systems within the overall theme park design Ensure SFX and specialist systems align with operational requirements, guest flow, and accessibility standards. Ensure design packages align with project schedules, budgets, quality, and local standards.
