Perform the day-to-day running of Global Ceer Hosting, OnPrem hosting, Virtual Environments, Hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud, and Data Centres covering Offices, Plant, proving ground, and Cloud. Responsible for the execution of the Enterprise hosting strategy taking into account:
Design
Deployment
Operations
Process Automation
Assist with Engineering, Build, Deployment of all Hosting and Data centres
Drive Operations of all Hosting and Data centres
Work with and build good relationships with External Service Providers and Product Vendors
Support the transition of new or enhanced Hosting, Cloud and Data Centre technology services
Maintain technology service and technical standards and processes relating to Hosting
Consult on and review technology solutions and services
Responsible for Incident Management, analysis, and resolution of Incidents affecting Hosting services
Responsible for root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of action items affecting equipment reliability for Hosting, reduction of failure rates, and downtime of IT/OT services
Develop maintenance strategies to support and improve MTBF
Develop maintenance strategies and plans to maintain all production and non-production assets to support business operations
Contribute to the Knowledge System and share knowledge within the first line support team
Optimize collaboration within the team to support the effective planning of service delivery
Act as escalation for other sub-functions requiring Hosting Subject Matter Expertise
Contribute to the Hosting investment and operating budget, forecasting, and planning
Forecast Demand relating to Hosting and Data Centre Services and resources
Ensure ongoing technology delivery to service level agreements from projects to application and business owner for Hosting
Recommend and implement agreed Cost savings/efficiencies
Proactive in learning and taking certifications for hosting, cloud, etc.
Champion process automation being effective in writing scripts, using tools such as Ansible to speed up tasks and increase quality
Tuning and enhancing server hosting
Evaluating hosting requirements from IT or other parts of the business to decide on the best hosting solution
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies
Education:
Bachelor of Science, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Related
Preferred: ITIL v3+ Foundation
