Qualifications and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Control & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Alternatively, a Diploma with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in airport operations or related BHS disciplines is preferred.
- Acceptable technical background.
- Experience in operating automated systems.
- Experience in leading baggage operations.
- Supervision and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily updates for flight allocations, including departure and arrival flights.
- Check daily scheduled flights and update the Operational Plan accordingly.
- Analyze and monitor monthly scheduled flights and update the Strategic Plan accordingly.
- Track and trace baggage accurately and inform the status of flight bags.
- Monitor and ensure fewer baggage delays and faster turnaround times.
- Coordinate constantly with TOCC representatives and the BHS control room.
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders as needed.
- Report the status of the system and BHS operations to the Shift Leader according to service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) of contractors working in the BHS.
- Utilize BHS applications, software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately.
- Investigate urgent inquiries with concerned parties.
- Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of Vanderlande and the position.
- Adhere to all Vanderlande policies and procedures.
- Operate BHS scheduling workstations in the control room when required.
