Senior SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in airport operations, particularly with baggage handling systems (BHS), and possess strong technical and communication skills.

Qualifications and Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Control & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Alternatively, a Diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience in airport operations or BHS disciplines.
• Acceptable technical background related to automated systems.
• Experience operating automated baggage handling systems.
• Experience leading baggage operations.
• Strong supervision and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily updates for departure and arrival flight allocations.
• Check daily flight schedules and update the Operational Plan accordingly.
• Analyze and monitor monthly flight schedules and update the Strategic Plan accordingly.
• Track and trace baggage accurately, keeping stakeholders informed of flight baggage status.
• Monitor baggage delays and work to reduce turnaround times.
• Coordinate regularly with the TOCC representative and BHS control room.
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders as needed.
• Report system and BHS operational status to the Shift Leader, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, SLAs, and KPIs of contractors working in the BHS.
• Utilize BHS applications, software, databases, scripts, and tools effectively.
• Investigate urgent inquiries with relevant parties.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge of Vanderlande company and role.
• Follow all Vanderlande policies and procedures.
• Operate BHS scheduling workstations in the control room as required.
