Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP BW Development & Modeling:

• Design and implementBW data modelsincludingInfoObjects, ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and Aggregates.
• DevelopHANA-optimized data modelsand transformations to enhance system performance.
• Configure and maintainMultiProviders, DSO, and InfoCubesfor data warehousing solutions.

2. Data Extraction & Integration:

• Develop and optimizeETL processesfor data extraction from SAP and non-SAP systems.
• ImplementOperational Data Provisioning (ODP),SLT, andDirect Extractionfor real-time data integration.
• Work withSAP Data Services, BODS, andHANA Smart Data Integration (SDI)for advanced data extraction.

3. Performance Optimization & HANA Integration:

• OptimizeBW queries and data loadsfor improved performance on HANA.
• UtilizeHANA Calculation ViewsandSQL Script-based transformationsto enhance reporting capabilities.
• ImplementNear-Line Storage (NLS)and archiving strategies for managing large datasets.

4. Reporting & Analytics:

• DevelopBEx Queries & Analysis for Office (AFO).
• IntegrateSAP BW with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Power BIfor advanced analytics.
• Supportbusiness users and key stakeholdersin designing and optimizing reports.

5. System Administration & Support:

• MonitorBW Process Chains, job schedules, and troubleshoot failures.
• ConductSAP BW housekeeping, database tuning, and performance monitoring.
• PerformSAP BW upgrades and system patchesin coordination with the Basis team.

Skills

Technical Skills Requirement:

Strong expertise inSAP BW 7.5 on HANA(Backend & Frontend).

Hands-on experience withHANA-native modelling (Calculation Views, CDS Views, AMDP, SQL scripting).

Proficiency inSAP BW Extractors, DataSources, and ODP Framework.

Experience inBEx Query Designer, Analysis for Office (AFO), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Understanding ofHANA Optimization Techniques, HANA SQL, and BW Performance Tuning.

Knowledge ofBW/4HANA concepts and migration from BW 7.5 to BW/4HANAis a plus.

Experience withABAP for BW (Start/End Routines, Transformation Routines, BADIs, Function Modules).

Exposure toCloud Integration (SAP BTP, SAP DataSphere, SAP CPI, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)is beneficial.
