As aSenior Safety Engineer, you will be key to driving HSE excellence by ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing risks, and fostering a proactive safety culture across infrastructure project sites. You will oversee safety practices, conduct site inspections, and support the HSE team, working closely with engineers, supervisors, and external inspectors to maintain a safe work environment.


Key Accountabilities

The position involves:


  • Supporting the company’s HSE vision and contributing to a culture of safety excellence.
  • Conducting site safety inspections and reporting unsafe conditions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Leading daily toolbox talks (TBTs) and task briefings for the workforce.
  • Ensuring all personnel on-site receive proper HSE induction and training.
  • Verifying that required competency certificates are valid and compliant with client requirements.
  • Providing hands-on safety guidance to reduce hazards and improve on-site behavior.
  • Reporting incidents promptly and participating in investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Communicating emergency protocols clearly across work sites.
  • Ensuring welfare facilities meet quality and quantity standards and following up on observations.
  • Inspecting tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and properly maintained, quarantining any defective items.
  • Reviewing lifting plans and confirming their adequacy for safe operations.
  • Participating effectively in emergency responses and drills.
  • Coordinating with third-party inspectors and internal stakeholders to uphold safety standards.
  • Providing ongoing safety training to laborers and supporting department reports as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for:


  • A Diploma or higher qualification in any relevant technical or engineering field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of safety engineering experience in infrastructure or construction projects.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent (NEBOSH IGC is preferred).
  • Previous experience with similar clients and project types is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of PTW systems, equipment safety, lifting operations, and risk control.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead safety awareness among multinational teams.
  • Mid-level English proficiency and strong report writing skills.
  • Proactive attitude and commitment to promoting occupational health and safety culture.
  • Familiarity with client-required external HSE training and internal courses including work at height, lifting, fire safety, electrical hazards, and defensive driving
