Overview

We are seeking a Senior Retail Deployment Engineer to join the Retail Technical Support Group (RTSG) within Retail Business Solutions Department.

The RTSG is responsible for heading the development of service station designs, identifying technical and technological solutions, developing and maintaining construction guidelines, developing frame agreements, providing technical support to affiliates and supervising the implementation of the construction standards on the stations.

Your primary role is to support the deployment of the Retail Strategy in Saudi Arabia and international affiliates. You will have held different positions throughout your career within major Oil Companies. This role will involve you working with considerable independence and across a multitude of diverse projects providing technical and technological product and station solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  1. Provide briefs, consulting, update and maintain station design and construction guidelines and coordinate with local and international affiliates and the International Department to ensure implementation in the rebranding of stations and in new station constructions across all markets/affiliates. Monitor rebranding programs, network development execution timelines and milestones for each project across markets, identify shortcomings and help develop solutions and processes to improve effectiveness. Oversee and support affiliates in the development of maintenance Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for stations.
  2. Identify selected vendors for station solutions and negotiate frame contracts to harvest economies of scale and ensure their application and performance across markets/affiliates.
  3. Perform safety compliance tours on an agreed sample of existing and new stations globally, propose improvements and support affiliates.
  4. Drive the technical development of Premium fuels centrally and support implementation with global affiliates. Identify needs for technical improvements and CAPEX investiture in the network for all global affiliates.
  5. Ensure the transfer of best practices in technical solutions across all markets and affiliates.
  6. Perform budgeting and costing analysis.
  7. Build & maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders to foster alignment and implementation of global programs & toolkits.
Minimum Requirements
  1. As a successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) from a recognized and approved University. An advanced degree like an MBA would be an advantage.
  2. You will have at least 10 years of experience in fuel retail or related businesses gained at different organizational levels within major international oil companies. You must have exposure to corporate international assignments.
  3. Supervisory or managerial experience is also desirable.
  4. You will also have the ability to work independently, engage with Senior stakeholders, excellent communication skills and flexibility to work on diverse subjects are key skills to be successful in this role.
