Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Registration Platform Team Leader to lead and elevate our registration operations, spearhead innovation initiatives, and manage the team responsible for our third-party registration platform, Visit by GES. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with proven expertise who can transform our registration capabilities while mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement across our global portfolio.

As a senior member of our team, you will be instrumental in expanding our registration offering, which currently services 10+ B2B events and hundreds of thousands of customers each year. You will develop strategic partnerships with show teams across the organization, establish best practices, and implement innovative solutions that enhance the customer journey. Your expertise will be crucial in elevating our registration platform capabilities to support Tahaluf's ambitious growth trajectory.

The Role

You will lead the registration department that facilitates registration for all events within the Tahaluf portfolio of events, with the mission to deliver an exceptional registration experience to all colleagues and customers. This senior position offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, implement transformative changes, and significantly impact the business through registration excellence.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for registration platform operations across all Tahaluf events
  • Lead the registration team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, show directors, and technology partners
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance registration processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency

Technical Expertise & Innovation

  • Serve as the principal subject matter expert on the Visit by GES platform, leading complex implementations and solving critical technical challenges
  • Architect advanced registration solutions for high-profile, large-scale events with complex requirements
  • Identify and implement innovative registration technologies (or workflows) and integrations that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
  • Lead platform optimization initiatives to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation, training materials, and best practice guidelines (including but not limited to departmental processes and procedures)

Project Management & Operations

  • Partner with the allocated show team on end-to-end registration set up, from requirement gathering to event configuration and testing, ensuring all preparation is done in a timely manner adhering to strict deadlines
  • Oversee end-to-end registration setup for multiple concurrent events, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to timelines
  • Manage resource allocation and prioritization across the registration department to optimize efficiency
  • Design and implement standardized processes and quality control measures to ensure consistency across all events
  • Lead post-event analysis, including comprehensive data analysis, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure registration performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain streamlined processes for managing internal requests with the aim of enhancing customer journey

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the organization to align registration strategies with broader business objectives
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer experience teams to ensure seamless integration of registration with other customer touchpoints
  • Represent the registration function in cross-departmental strategic planning sessions
  • Provide expert consultation to show teams on registration best practices and innovative solutions

  • Proficient with advanced technology systems including MS Office, Monday.com, Smartsheet, CRM systems, airtable, and data analysis tools
  • Experienced in managing vendor relationships and negotiating service level agreements
  • Willing to travel to support Tahaluf events as required (regional and international where applicable)

Essential Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of registration platforms, preferably Visit by GES
  • Experience with API integrations and data management
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic scripting languages
  • Understanding of data security and privacy regulations
  • Experience with workflow automation and process optimization
  • Experience with drafting, maintaining and enhancing departmental processes and procedures

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certifications in project management or relevant technical areas
  • 7+ years of experience in the events industry with focus on registration or customer experience
  • Experience managing large-scale data operations and analytics
  • Knowledge of multiple registration platforms and comparative advantages
