Job Description
The Registrar in Cardiology will be instrumental in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care. This role combines clinical expertise, patient-centered communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes in cardiology.
Assessment and Diagnosis
Conduct comprehensive assessments and accurate diagnoses of cardiovascular symptoms and conditions. Perform detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and cardiovascular assessments. Utilize diagnostic tools, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms. Engage with patients to discuss symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
Management and Treatment Planning and Implementation
Develop and implement individualized management and treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular symptoms and conditions. Collaborate with patients to establish achievable treatment goals. Integrate evidence-based guidelines into treatment decisions. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Make appropriate referrals to higher levels of care as needed.
Clinical Quality and Safe Practice
Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care. Adhere to clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices in cardiology. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and clinical audits. Report and investigate clinical incidents or adverse events.
Collaboration with Healthcare Providers
Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals regarding patient management. Coordinate referrals and care transitions with external specialists and services.
Patient Safety and Satisfaction
Promote patient safety and enhance patient satisfaction throughout the care process. Implement and monitor patient safety protocols and initiatives. Gather and analyze patient feedback through surveys and direct communication. Address patient concerns and ensure clarity in communication about their care.
Professional Development and Compliance
Engage in ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and relevant training programs. Stay updated on changes in clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices. Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional growth and development.
Skills
Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school. Residency training in Cardiology from an accredited program. Board certification in Cardiology. Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Senior Registrar – Cardiology. Proficiency in telehealth technologies and platforms. Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with cardiology assessment tools. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine platforms. Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in cardiology, population health management, and value-based care. Arabic and English Language Proficiency.
