Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and quantify quantities for electromechanical works including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  2. Review contract documents, technical specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency with Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  3. Prepare, review, and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for electromechanical projects.
  4. Perform detailed cost analysis and pricing for electromechanical work items.
  5. Evaluate and manage variation orders, claims, and change requests, assessing their cost impact on the project.
  6. Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical issues affecting quantities and costs.
  7. Prepare, review, and certify monthly progress payments and interim valuations based on actual work executed.
  8. Monitor project costs, control budgets, and ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
  9. Review and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  10. Prepare cost reports, financial forecasts, and cash flow analyses for management review.
  11. Lead, mentor, and supervise junior quantity surveyors and provide technical guidance.
  12. Ensure compliance with contract conditions, engineering standards, and applicable local and international codes.
  13. Participate in technical meetings, negotiations, and cost-related discussions with stakeholders.
  14. Utilize quantity surveying and project management software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Primavera, or equivalent tools.
