Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to provide clients with the most cost-effective solutions during the planning phase.
- Manage and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions while mitigating risks associated with contractual obligations.
- Evaluate and negotiate contract claims and variations, maintaining a balance between client expectations and contractor capabilities.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to monitor project progress and financial performance, adjusting forecasts as necessary.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project costs, budgets, and forecasts to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
- Utilize advanced software tools for cost estimation and project management to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
- Mentor and lead junior quantity surveyors and support their professional development through knowledge sharing and training.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and innovations, leveraging this knowledge to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering projects, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
- Professional certification such as RICS, CIOB, or equivalent, showcasing commitment to industry standards and ethics.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages can be an advantage, particularly in multicultural environments.
