Job description

WSP Middle East is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor responsible for contractual control, measurement, and payment for a PMC project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent, with a suitable contractual, legal, or commercial background.
  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) preferred.
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience working for international consultants on PMC projects in various contract types, with proven experience in claims and dispute resolution for major construction and engineering projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of Saudi procurement law is preferred.
  • Experience with PMC projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in regular project reviews in KSA to identify opportunities and risks affecting WSP’s financial performance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to manage risks and opportunities, including correspondence, record-keeping, and participation in commercial meetings.
  3. Assist the Project Manager with financial and contractual matters, negotiate contract terms, and assess claims.
  4. Analyze financial accounts and monthly reports to evaluate working capital risks and revenue recognition, providing sound advice.
  5. Coordinate with the working capital team to resolve disputed invoices and expedite payments.
  6. Assist in preparing cost estimates and monthly invoices.
  7. Review contractors' and consultants' payment applications and statements, and prepare payment certificates.
