The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Senior Quantity Surveyor (Senior QS Engineer) will be responsible for managing cost control, contract administration, and commercial management across all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cost planning, estimating, and value engineering during all phases of the project.
  • Lead the review and assessment of contractor payment applications, variations, and claims.
  • Support contract administration including procurement support, tender evaluations, and contractual correspondence.
  • Ensure commercial compliance with project budgets, schedules, and reporting requirements.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in quantity surveying and cost management on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
  • Experience working in a PMC or client-representative capacity is preferred.

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid expertise in pre- and post-contract QS activities including cost control, claims management, and contract interpretation.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating tools, Microsoft Excel, and QS software such as CCS, Candy, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills.
