Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager - Building Services/MEP to join our team! The Senior Project Manager (PM) for Building Services/MEP in Unique Hospitality Projects is responsible for the comprehensive management of MEP systems in high-end hospitality construction projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of MEP design and implementation to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, with a focus on the unique requirements of the hospitality industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, tailored to the unique needs of hospitality projects.

  • Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project designs.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Provide expert technical guidance on the design and installation of MEP systems, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of hospitality environments.

  • Ensure all MEP designs and installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and progress of MEP work, with a focus on guest comfort and operational efficiency.

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.

  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any concerns.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or guest experience.

  • Track project expenses and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage the procurement of MEP materials and services, with a focus on high-quality and sustainable solutions.

  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, particularly those unique to hospitality projects.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project, maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional development.

  • Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.

  • Minimum of +15 years of experience in project management within the building services/MEP sector, with a focus on hospitality projects.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale hospitality construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and industry standards specific to hospitality environments.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
