Sr. Project Finance Analyst

The candidate will require relevant extensive experience and a strong academic background with a desire to influence a cleaner future through the electrification of the transportation space. This role will play an integral part of the Finance team to continue the success of the company. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoy a challenge, then we want to talk with you!

  1. Consolidate and analyze financial data including reconciliations, period-to-period variance analysis, and analyzing cost deviations with variance explanations.
  2. Maintain the financial status of multiple projects in weekly status reports showing budget, forecast, Purchase Request status, Purchase Order status, and applicable accounting data.
  3. Monitor, report, and analyze financial performance for operational and project-related activities, offering support to project teams.
  4. Identify and communicate risks and opportunities, proactively addressing potential issues.
  5. Develop and refine business case assessments with relevant teams to support program decisions.
  6. Facilitate operating team alignment and decision making; present data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication and recommendations.
  7. Actively participate with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope. Provide objective business consultancy and financial guidance to the company.
  8. Partner closely with the operating team (including Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Program Management) to understand financial inputs and provide guidance on operating decisions.
  9. Support additional ad-hoc assignments and projects across departments including month-end financial reporting, long-term Business Plan development, benchmarking, and process analysis.
  10. Provide new perspectives to identify and propose opportunities for process and business function improvements.
  11. Bachelor’s degree in finance or Economics; Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a big plus.
  12. Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, with at least 5 years in variance analysis (actuals vs. forecast) and period-to-period analysis.
  13. Proven technical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills, with a high level of independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to communicate key performance drivers to senior management.
  14. Ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy and accountability.
  15. Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
  16. High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  17. Extensive experience in financial reporting, specifically CapEx and Construction cash flow.
  18. Pro-active with a strong ability to see tasks through to completion.
  19. Resourceful, hands-on, capable of working independently and in teams.
  20. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  21. Motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  22. Willing to collaborate with colleagues across different regions on various initiatives.
  23. Creative thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
