The Role

The Senior Project Engineer (Sr. Engineer) is a role with a global scope, responsible for quality assurance of the engineering delivery of solutions using AspenTech's Digital Grid Management (DGM) products to leading utilities worldwide. AspenTech's DGM solutions support decision-making and real-time operations for major utilities across the USA, Europe, India, Australia, and other regions.

You will assist and support delivery service partners in end-to-end delivery of SCADA/EMS/GMS/ADMS projects using the Monarch platform, including planning, design, integration, testing, training, and commissioning. A good understanding of utility use-cases (Electricity, Gas, Water, Renewables) is preferred.

Your Impact
  • Interface with project teams to provide technical assistance during project implementations.
  • Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
  • Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements through customer communication.
  • Provide networking and system/application design services.
  • Assist with hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing (FAT/SAT).
  • Perform system quality inspections on project systems.
  • Customize system, hardware, and network configurations based on customer needs.
  • Support customers during maintenance and warranty phases.
  • Help create training materials and project documentation as needed.
What You'll Need

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in automation and computing.
  • Experience in power systems, electric utility operations, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows OS.
  • Proficiency in software programming and scripting (Python, C/C++).
  • Experience with AspenTech DGM software suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD, Visio, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of database structures (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with JSON, XML, and utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, IEC, MultiSpeak).
  • Familiarity with OSI Monarch control systems.

The salary range for this role is $104,400 - $130,500, which may vary based on experience and other factors. The role is eligible for bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, insurance, and retirement plans.
