Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to oversee and execute offshore oil & gas projects. The successful candidate will lead the engineering, planning, and coordination efforts from concept through to offshore construction, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the project is planned, organized, and executed in accordance with the Business Management System
  • Ensures project execution within time, budget, and QHSES requirements by allocating resources, managing risks, opportunities, and changes
  • Coordinate engineering activities related to the offshore project lifecycle—from FEED to commissioning.
  • Ensure full compliance with local engineering standards, codes, and practices (e.g., SAES, SAMSS, SAEP and applicable international standards).
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and risk assessments with stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Provide solutions to technical challenges encountered during offshore installations and construction.
  • Oversee HSE compliance across all engineering and construction phases.
  • Report project status to senior management and client representatives regularly.
  • Participate in contractor/vendor evaluations, bid reviews, and procurement processes.
  • Drive project close-out processes, including punch listing and documentation.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • PMP certification or similar project management qualification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering within the offshore oil & gas sector for brownfield and greenfield of similar role.
  • Proven track record of working on Saudi Aramco or similar GCC-based projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience in offshore construction, subsea installations, and topside modifications is preferred.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies in managing scopes associated with Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design and construction support.
  • Excellent planning skill.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
