Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Planning
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals
- Conduct spend analyses to uncover cost-saving opportunities
- Forecast procurement needs and support budget planning
Vendor and Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Build and sustain strategic supplier partnerships
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve disputes
Contract Negotiation and Management
- Lead contract negotiations, including pricing and terms
- Ensure compliance and timely renewals of procurement contracts
- Mitigate supply and contractual risks
Compliance and Risk Management
- Enforce compliance with policies, legal standards, and ethics
- Develop procurement policies and handle audit readiness
- Address and resolve procurement-related compliance issues
Operational Execution
- Manage end-to-end procurement cycles (RFI/RFQ/RFP to delivery)
- Leverage ERP systems to optimize procurement processes
- Coordinate with logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor junior team members
- Deliver training and growth opportunities
- Foster a culture of performance and improvement
Reporting and Analytics
- Generate and present procurement insights to leadership
- Monitor key KPIs (cost savings, cycle time, supplier performance)
- Identify improvement opportunities based on data analysis
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 5–7+ years of procurement experience in a similar role
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Proven leadership and team development abilities
- Proficient in procurement tools (SAP, SAGE, Oracle)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
