Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Engineer based in our Khobar Office in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities
  • Site experience, including complex infrastructure projects
  • Develop and maintain planning control structures aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Create and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate software
  • Monitor and control planning activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and third parties to stay updated on project activities, status, and impacts on schedules and manpower
  • Prepare and distribute project plans and schedules as per reporting requirements
  • Provide project progress and performance status reports
  • Update project plans, schedules, and manpower requirements regularly
  • Assess and communicate schedule impacts of change notifications
  • Track overall project progress, milestone achievement, and performance against plans
  • Participate in project meetings and schedule risk analysis
  • Support mentoring of junior planning personnel
Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline, SCE approved
  • Proficient with Primavera and other scheduling tools, including logic, CPM analysis, resource loading, and leveling
  • Knowledge of project execution procedures for scheduling
  • Understanding of WBS & CBS structures and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to develop project schedules and resource plans
  • Knowledge of earned value management, variance analysis, and scenario planning
  • Understanding of project management principles, cost management, change control, and risk analysis
