Job summary

A leading company in the construction sector is seeking a Project Scheduler to oversee project planning and scheduling. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the planning of hotel projects and must be proficient in Primavera 6 and ERP systems. This role is crucial for ensuring project timelines and resource allocations align with organizational standards, while also mentoring junior planning engineers.

Qualifications

Job description

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure project timelines are accurately represented.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, establish priorities, and define project scope.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying deviations, delays, and potential risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on schedule performance, resource utilization, and potential impacts on project outcomes.
  • Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern, and recommend appropriate adjustments to schedules and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for project execution.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing project schedules, progress, and performance indicators for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior planning engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in project scheduling and management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project management and scheduling to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards in all aspects of project scheduling and management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • minimum 8 years working experience in Planning Department
  • must have good experience for handling hotels projects, hotel appartment projects
  • Knowledge in Engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledge in Principles of planning and knowledge in Principles and practices of research and date collection.
  • Familiarity with planning practices and the associated software such as Advance Primavera 6
  • Knowledge in Principles and practices of research and data collection
  • Familiar with local and international standards in construction
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
