Purpose:
The Planning Senior Analyst is a vital link between Supply Chain, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Planning teams, ensuring seamless integration of forecast plans, efficient inventory management, and timely delivery schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of MRP processes, Oracle systems, and collaborative problem-solving to maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate inventory transfers between business units (BUs) when usable inventory is identified, optimizing stock utilization across the organization.
- Verify stock positions and release inventory purchase requisitions (PRs) to Purchasing to ensure material availability.
- Collaborate with Sustaining Engineering to explore and implement alternative design options that utilize existing non-finished goods inventory, including global stock when applicable.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and Purchasing to facilitate the procurement of samples prior to full-scale purchasing.
- Monitor the progress of orders and escalate urgent requirements with Purchasing to ensure delivery schedules are met.
- Advise on shipment modes for non-sea freight cases and coordinate with Customer Service for final confirmation to align with operational requirements.
- Maintain and update the Material Shortage Report (MSR) by coordinating with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Customer Service, ensuring a clear and actionable overview of material shortages.
- Continuously track and report on inventory metrics, including inventory levels versus targets, inventory trends, fast- and slow-moving inventory, and supplies to other BUs, while identifying and utilizing alternate options for better inventory management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
- Min 6 Years Experience in Manufacturing Planning for both Production and Material
- Excellent communication skill
- Good reporting and documentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing process
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion
- Excellent Analytical Skills
