Senior Network and Security Engineer (Medina Airport)

We are looking for a talented, motivated Senior Network and Security Engineer (Medina Airport). The ideal candidate is a master of their skill set but has the flexibility and openness to learn new things and adapt to changes.

Description:

The Senior Associate will be responsible for support and maintenance of Perimeter Services, including Firewalls, Proxies, SDWAN, and Web Application Protection, with a focus on Perimeter Services:

1. Lead in the maintenance and configuration of next-generation firewall infrastructure.
2. Perform, develop, implement, and maintain system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications, and network security devices, in accordance with organizational policies, standards, procedures, industry best practices, and vendor guidelines.
3. Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards to support security enhancements and development efforts; interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain services and products.
4. Recommend, implement, and deliver technology solutions based on analysis and business requirements.
5. Participate in planning, hardware resource allocation, and the development or introduction of new applications and services.
6. Create and maintain standards documentation for deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and daily operations.
7. Participate in the design and development of services and tools focusing on automation and orchestration.
8. Assist in device migrations and deployments.
9. Collaborate with SMEs and engineering teams to design and implement solutions.
10. Participate in resolving critical major incidents.
11. Engage in technical training and mentor other team members globally.
12. Obtain Fortinet Firewall certifications and meet the qualifications outlined in point 6 under Qualifications.

Qualifications:

• Preferred certifications include CCNP, CISSP, Palo Alto, PCNSA, or PCNSE.
• Knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and resolving complex network security incidents, including packet capture and analysis, log review, and critical thinking.
• Experience in building, deploying, configuring, and managing firewalls in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience in networking and firewall management, especially with Palo Alto, including design and implementation of industry best practices.
• Proficiency in solving complex technical problems through engineering, including requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing.
• Security risk assessment experience for firewall rule implementations.
• Knowledge of Azure NSG, Load Balancer, UDR configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of operational industry standards for security technology.
• Ability to contribute to a central technology service organization and navigate a matrix organizational structure, collaborating across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements:

Experience with:

• Administration of security platforms such as firewalls, vulnerability scanners, IPS, DDoS, WAF, Mail Gateway, Endpoint security, PAM, NAC, MFA, EDR, Sandbox, and other network security systems.
• Development of security policies and procedures.
• Use of internal and external vulnerability assessment tools.
• Installation, administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance of network and cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Networking troubleshooting including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and unified communications.
• Layer 2 technologies like STP, vPC, SPAN, VxLAN.
• Layer 3 technologies such as QoS, MPLS, OSPF, BGP.
• Security technologies including IPsec and Next-Gen Firewalls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate information and develop operational plans.
• Experience in Web Application Protection (WAP), networking, and firewalls.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related fields.

Total work experience: At least 5 years in cybersecurity and network administration.

Language: English.

Level: Proficient in explaining, understanding instructions, discussing issues, and reporting.
