Description:
The Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting Perimeter Services (Firewalls, Proxies), SDWAN, and Web Application Protection, with a focus on Perimeter Services:
- Lead in the maintenance and configuration of next-generation firewall infrastructure.
- Perform, develop, implement, and maintain system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications, and network security devices, in accordance with organizational policies, standards, procedures, industry best practices, and vendor guidelines.
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards to support security enhancements and development efforts; interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain services and products.
- Recommend, implement, and deliver technology solutions based on analysis and business requirements.
- Participate in planning, hardware resource management, and the development or introduction of new applications and services.
- Create and maintain standards documentation for deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and daily operations.
- Participate in the design and development of services and tools focusing on automation and orchestration.
- Assist in device migrations and deployments.
- Collaborate with SMEs and engineering teams to design and implement solutions.
- Participate in resolving critical major incidents.
- Engage in technical training and mentor other members of the global team.
- Ensure certification in Fortinet Firewall and related qualifications as specified.
Qualifications
- Preferred Certifications: CCNP, CISSP, Palo Alto, PCNSA, or PCNSE.
- Knowledge/Skills:
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex network security incidents, including packet capture, analysis, log review, and critical thinking.
- Building, deploying, configuring, and managing firewalls in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Palo Alto administration, design, and implementation of industry best practices.
- Security risk assessment for firewall rule implementations.
- Knowledge of Azure NSG, Load Balancer, UDR configuration and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of security technology operational standards.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization and collaborate across teams.
Requirements
- Experience with administration of security platforms (firewalls, vulnerability scanners, IPS, DDoS, WAF, Mail Gateway, Endpoint, PAM, NAC, MFA, EDR, Sandbox, etc.).
- Development of security policies and procedures.
- Use of vulnerability assessment tools.
- Managing installation, administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance of security infrastructure.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and Unified Communications.
- Experience with Layer 2 Technologies (STP, vPC, SPAN, VxLAN) and Layer 3 Technologies (QoS, MPLS, OSPF, BGP).
- Proficiency in security technologies like IPsec and Next-Gen Firewalls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in Web Application Protection, networking, and firewalls.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security and Network administration.
- English language proficiency.
- Good level of understanding and ability to explain instructions, discuss issues, and report.
