A leading company seeks a Senior Mechanical Technician with extensive experience in mechanical systems, particularly in heavy industries like oil & gas and power plants. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, disassembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of mechanical systems, including low and high-tension equipment up to 11kV and 30,000 HP. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to work in industrial, power plant, or heavy machinery environments.
Assemble and disassemble rotating and static mechanical equipment including pumps, turbines, compressors, and gearboxes.
Handle mechanical systems operating up to 11kV and 30,000 HP, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Perform maintenance and repairs on Low Tension (LT) and High Tension (HT) systems up to 480 volts and 500kW.
Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and OEM documentation.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical faults and perform root cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all tasks.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and service activities.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for coordinated work execution.
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance in heavy industries (oil & gas, power plants, manufacturing, etc.).
Strong knowledge of HT/LT mechanical systems, motors, drives, and high-capacity equipment.
Familiarity with work permits, risk assessments, and safety practices in industrial environments.
Proficient in handling mechanical systems up to 11kV and 30,000 HP.
Hands-on experience with LT/HT systems up to 480V and 500kW.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and diagrams.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Sound knowledge of tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical assembly procedures.
Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours when required.
